Default 4 Thoes who have removed hood latch

I had to remove my latch for my intecooler to fit.. Whats a good set of hood pins to hold down a hood tight so it wont move? I know that not having a latch is risky but im cool with it. Are the locking ones any good?

We are going to use the Aero Catch hood pins, but they are not on the car yet so I cant tell you too much.

I bought a set of Aerocatch pins but haven't gotten around to do it yet. I intend to remove the hood latch and move my intercooler and radiator a little farther forward.

You can get them with or without the soda machine key. They are also available in a flush mount (from the bottom) or regular flange (from the top).

I bought a cheep set from autozone.....

Keep in mind with the key ones, if you are at the race track and something goes wrong, you will need to pull the keys from the car(most likely) and run and unlock the hood....

I decided to use dzus fasteners for the fiberglass hood on my Nova. I wanted a low profile look with easy operation. I use 4 fasteners in the front and stock springs in the back of the hood:

nice and flush when they are locked down.
