Default Turbo'd 5.3L

I have a 77 Datsun 280Z as a current project vehicle that I plan on putting a 5.3L into it. At first I was going to do a LQ4 conversion but figured I would do a cheaper engine swap up front and upgrade later on. I'm new to the LS family but have loved the Fbody since my 95 Camaro. I know that there may be certain threads out there about this subject and I know i may get some heat for not using the search feature but I'm currently deployed and the internet access is limited and very slow(took about 20 mins just to get here) but any help with doing this swap such as best cam choice and or any turbo related help that would benefit me with putting a turbo on this motor. Any info on related to the 5.3L would be greatly appreciated when it comes to strapping a turbo on it.

The goal for this vehicle is to be able to get anywhere around 11 secs. This car will primarily be a track car, but will be driven when the weather permits. I plan on doing a 4L60E transmission(unless it seems that it may not perform well). I want to try and make this motor almost bulletproof, even though I can pick the blocks up for cheap but as stated before I want to turbo it and I may spray it as well.

I have thought about making it a 383 and still putting a turbo on it but I figured if I did this it will cause more of a traction issue than I already believe I will have with just a plain 5.3 turbo'd. I would love to hit the 2 goals that I have always had since I have first started to work on cars which is hit the 500 RWHP and be able to hit in the single digits.

Again I'm sorry for not using the search option but it's hard enough as it is to navigate at the speeds this internet is.

Do a 5.3 with the LQ4 heads. put you around 8:5.1 compression ratio. you should be able to push about 20psi of boost through it. We have the same setup in my buddies 87 Grand national.

Will easily hit 500whp.

Your list is missing intercooler and or meth, BOV and wastgate.

Well it's just going to be air-air intercooler. I dont know what size blow off valve to get and wastegate.
