4.8L & 5.3L Wow
I am going crazy trying to read anything LS I can get my hands on.
I am buying magazines like GM High Tech Performance,Car Craft,Camaro Now, and books on LS1-LS7 performance.
I found an article about a almost stock 4.8L(42 LB Lucas Injectors,FMU 80 psi) and a 67MM Turbo making 542 FWHP & 603 FWTQ on just 8psi of boost.
Car Craft built a carb'd & D1-SC Procharged 5.3L which made 644 FWHP on just 12psi of boost(100 octane gasoline).
The Procharger Kit is designed to be used on Iron & Aluminum LS blocks.
I can't imagine how much HP & TQ could be made with a 413 CID LQ4/9 stroker, this ProCharger pullied to 9-12 psi, an Edelbrock Victor carbed intake with a 1000 cfm throttle body, a 100-200 N2O Cheater plate, 60-83 LB injectors, E-85(96-105 from the pump or 112 from Rockett Brand), a Water/Methanol Injection system + an Air-Air Intercooler or skip the N2O and use the F-1 Procharger pullied for 21-25 psi?

I'm kind of excited about the idea of a 4.8 turbo, too. I put a 2001 4.8 in a 1984 C4 chassis and wrapped it with a CJ7 body. I plan on adding a single turbo, maybe 5 psi and 400hp. Probably won't even use an intercooler.
I run a little IHI turbo on my 1.5 litre civic with no intercooler. Works great.
