can i get the compression down to 10.0?
I'm not sure what the compression would be with 317 heads?, but I was told the seller was planning to run some 62cc heads and with .040 gaskets was around 11.4-11.5 compression.
the combo is
LQ4 Iron Block
Eagle Forged Crankshaft
Eagle H-Beam w/ ARP Rod Bolts
Forged Wiseco 4.030" -3cc Flat Tops
Total Seal Plasma rings
Comp Cams 54-463-11 (247/255 .624"/.624" 114 LSA)
SLP P/P Oil Pump
LS2 Timing chain set
New cam/main bearings
Balanced
if i put 317 heads can i get it to 10.0?
i want to run 13-15#boost procharger

with the piston .01" out and GM's 4.060 bore HG with the standard ~.051" compressed thickness you are looking at right around ~11.0 static
I believe stock chamber 317's are around 72cc

If your pistons are .020 down in the hole and your head gaskets have a 4.080 bore I come up with 10.5:1. If the block has been decked to zero and the piston is even with the block I come up with 11:1.
If you use a .051 gasket and your pistons are .020 down in the hole you will get 10.2:1
