Default TC76 .96 on 347 ls1 and backpressure

need some real world input...

most everyone i see with backpressure issues runs the 370 not a 347.

i would like to spin 6500+ and still make power..
plan on running upto 20psi of boost at the track..

who has ran a TC76 .96a/r on stock cube LS1/6... did you hit a wall @ around 5800-6000??

i am also looking at the other thread about the bigger housing thinking of goin to the 1.32a/r with a 3.5 dp

specs.
9.4:1 347 Ls1
eagle rods
wiseco pistons 3.903 bore -11cc
stock "super crank"
Tsp LS6 heads 64cc
VA speed cam 23x/22x

trans.

I think especially at 20psi you will run out of turbo at around 5500. A few of us are going to have exhaust housing made. Either 1.32 or 1.52

Rotary has a 1.15ar housing for sale in this thread $125 shipped, I would jump on that for your 347.

im using a T76 with .96 on a rear mount, turning +7000 rpm and still pulling at 9-10#....... motor is a 365 with 10.7 compression, 93 pump gas, and spool is instant, i think i lucked up on my waste gate placement.

Rearmount vs. frontmount are completely different as far as backpressure goes. You can get away with a smaller turbine housing on a rearmount because the gases are more dense by the time they get to the turbo.

I think your going to have a issue with back pressure, especially with the ported heads and cam. I ran a tc76 w.96 a/r and it pulled hard to 5k and flattened out, my motor had ported heads 221/221 cam. I would try that large a/r housing.

With a stalled auto you will get away with a laggier spool up, once your up in the power it's gonna stay there for the whole run.
