Ok took a look at it. I remember this company came up probably like a year ago or so. I think the general consensus is that the "Aster bracket" or the mod chevy chad did were more cost effective and had better results. I dont think the bracket alone would have that much of a influence as more belt wrap would.

I don't think that the standard aluminum is flexing enough to make people lose 4 psi. Maybe 1 psi or so but I highly doubt 4...

You could still add an extra idler pulley to the steel bracket as well if you had one. I actually had an opportunity to buy a used steel bracket for $80 before I put an extra idler on, but I decided not to and add the idler instead to see how it worked. Since I had good results with the extra idler, I didnt bother pursuing a steel bracket after that.. Here is my thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...rap-fbody.html

And as far as I know, noone was ever able to find a source for the hex standoffs. Shouldnt be hard though for any machine shop to be able to throw one on a lathe and machine it down for ya

All the specs for the standoff are in the thread. I dont remember which page the specific dimensions are on, but I think its within the first 5 pages or so.

You can use either a stock procharger idler pulley (2.5" OD), or a stock f-body idler pulley (3.0" OD). I also have approximate belt dimensions for each of those pulleys somewhere in the thread.

I just added an index to the bottom of the first post in my thread. Just click the links to see the post for the standoff dimensions and the belt dimensions.

While I do think it is stronger, probably not needed. However I would purchase if I needed a replacement.
