Default Anyone running a BOV instead of a surge valve on there SC

I was looking into the Tial BOV and was thinking it would do the same thing as the surge valve would. Anybody else running one on the supercharged setup? How well does it work and which one did you buy. What Boost are you running with it?

I ran an HKS bov for a few years on an old CSC setup I had on a different car. Worked fine. I ran up to 10psi that way.

We ran 16 psi (D1SC, A/W, 427ci, Etc) with a Turbosmart Race Port. You need to change the spring out to their softest one so it bleeds air at idle. We did this on a couple of cars actually.

Worked great. Spring selection is key.

Yup I agree. I had a really soft spring as well.

I was shopping around and found the vortech bypass valves which are a lot cheaper than the procharger valves.

The Tial 50mm BOV can be used as a bypass valve with the appropriate spring.

We have been using one on our Porsche 928 for three years now using A Vortech V7 YSi.

Thanks for the link up. I wander how hot the supercharger would get from running it at very high speed all the time. In the gear box I mean. Its funny, you posted that link. I was at my machinist's shop today talking about putting a launch controller on my car to keep from frying the tires off. I wish I had an F2 laying around to put on. Awesome info.
