Default STS turbo LT1 vs LS1 differences

What are the differences between LT1 STS turbo system and LS1 STS turbo system? A member has one for sale on a parts classified and I want to know what all needs to be done to fit his LT1 sytem on my LS1 Trans Am.

I 'think' the only defferents is the pipe that comes up to the intake? The lt1 will not work on a ls1 but the ls1 will work on the lt1.

STS turbo LT1 vs LS1 differences-30-pipe.jpg
here"s mine. the lt1 dont a have the abs block so the pipe comes up through that way. Dont let that be the deal breaker, If your getting a great price you can call sts and just order the pipe they you need there pricing is pretty good for replacement parts.

Thanks man that really helps. Can stock injectors be ran with a turbo system or are they a must to upgrade?

i live in Cali! but i'll still make the trip out to Oh! you can run stock injectors but you won't like the results and could cause damage if not tuned right. i have 42lb'ers but i don't know what size should be run on an ls1. take a look at the link in my signature too

Highly reccomended to upgrade to larger injectors.... Pretty much a must! Run a min. of 42lb injectors. You will end up running out of injector/fuel and burn a hole in something!

Run a search on STS in this forum and you should find everything needed to do a safe install.
