Default 07 Silverado with Rear mount TC78 on a LQ9/LS3/LS7

Just thought i'd post up some pics of my new TC78 rear mount setup, still needs to be tuned. I have a lq9 with ls3 heads/intake and a ls7 cam in it right now, im gonna run 5-7lbs. on that motor and then i should have my 370 with p&p l92 heads and pat g/eps turbo cam done very shortly, i wanna run 12-15lbs. on that motor! The setup works pretty good, i havent been able to get in to boost to much yet but it is very reponsive. Still using my water to air ic setup too, that thing works great. let me know what you guys think!

Nice work dude. FWIW it wouldn't bother me one bit pushing a stock LQ9 shortblock past 7lbs. They're pretty damn stout. With proper fueling and tuning of course.

thats what id like to get it up to is 7-8 psi, my budy has been running 10psi on his daily driver silverado with no issues yet, it has a lq4. The thing is that the motor is barrowed lol, but I have a fully forged 370 that is just a few weeks from being done, i'd like to run 12-15psi on that motor!

There's a guy on here with a stock 6L short block in a GTO that traps over 140. That's gotta be over 1000hp. But yea if the new motor is only a couple weeks out, might as well wait. Fab work looks good though. Nice job.

Looks great, i have two questions, why did you build a sump at the bottom of the turbo?

and this is more a suggestion, id move that wastegate reference to the manifold.

Everything looks great man! good work!

The "reservoir" at the bottom of the turbo keeps oil from backing up into the turbo. Some rear mount setups have that issue and having that little reservoir there helps.

Ok, lol. I knew that, lmao. DOH!

I used a checkvalve above the turbo so that wasnt an issue.

Ditch the headers and put some manifolds back on it.

Yeah thats what i've been told but i don't really have any spooling issues and i just cant stand opening the hood and having some rusty stock manifolds on there. I figure its better in the long run any ways since the headers will keep my back pressure (before the turbo) low which helps all around performance on a turbo setup.

What did you use to keep oil from draining into your turbo when the truck is off..

Looks good by the way
