im running a d1 procharger with 3.4 pulley on my forged ls2... should i run ls9 head gaskets vs the ls2? I should be running 15 to 18 lbs of boost. with ported 317 heads... thanks let me know what you think

well to put it simply there is a reason there are specialty made gaskets for the ls9, there built for boost.
ls9 gaskets are not much more then ls2 so really no reason not to get them

I paid 40$ each for my LS9 gaskets. Im guessing the engineers at GM know a little better than we do and theres a reason for adding morel layers when adding boost....just a thought.

Whats your bore? The bore on the LS9's are different from the LS2's I believe.

Thanks that was my main concern... the bore size differnce.. My ls2 has wiseco 4.005 bore -11 cc dished pistons, 6.125 callies rods, ported 317s, 232/240 .595/.608 115 lsa cam, and a super vic intake being fed by a d1 procharger with a 3.4 pulley.. i also upgraded to arp head studs and mains.. im exspecting 15-18 lbs of boost from hearing from similar builds. what kinda boost levels are you pushing and wat set up?

yep, run the LS9, pretty much the same price, same thickness, just built for boost
