Video of us testing out the transbrake!
Like the title says. Quick little video of us testing out the transbrake, and new converter on some jackstands.
First rev is about 6 psi, and 2nd rev is 9-10 psi, at about 3600 rpms.

well ive been thinking about changing myself to a short runner design sheetmetal, due to i think it would be best.. these runners seem to be longer than most sheet metal i guess to accommodate n/a and nos style cars as well.. what style head are you running?

Wow, 10 psi w/o a 2step. I'm lucky to see 2 psi.
Large plenum and short runner are not the same thing. The Pro Flo XT has a very long runner as compared to most of the sheetmetal intakes out there. Short runner intakes move the power band up. That means less torque and more top end power.

What exactly is the harm in what we did? How is it different that getting on the brake at the track? If that damaged the built trans or the billet converter, we have bigger problems.

Well that depends on a few things. We are scheduled to go by Eric for a couple of things on the 2nd. Then we need to get on the dyno, but Chris has to decide weather or not we are swapping ECU's now or later before we can set that up. Then we have an appointment May 7th to get the chassis certed. If everything works out we should be making passes that same day. We are scheduled for 9:20, so we will have all day to start making shakedown runs. We both have some busy weekends coming up where we will not be able to work on the car so that is pushing it back some.
Whats the news on your car? I see you ordered up some more parts, what did you get?

why u changing PCM's?
I just ordered the fittings for my trans case for the -6 line and 45* fittings for it, fans for the radaitor, aeromotive filter. So with that being bought my trans stuff is all done and cooling is all done, got my brake lines to finish up and thats all done. Basically just need to buy a harness now for $500 and some tubing to make my radaitor lines and it "SHOULD" fire

We need to change to a 99 up ECU sooner or later so we can use a 3 bar MAP sensor. So that means he has to get the 3 bar MAP, and possibly upgade his HP Tuners to be able to still tune it ourselves at the track.
Well what are you waiting for?! You gonna get it on the track this summer?

That car looks sick. I think what that one guy meant is that it's not a good idea to get on the trans brake and then let off the gas to bring it back to idle. I'm no trans expert and wouldn't be able to tell you the harm it can cause or if it's even true or not, but it's just always been my understanding that when you engage the transbrake you need to launch it
