tring to find best gear combo for turbo truck 4200lbs, 28" tall tire, 4l80 trans, 408ci lsx, 88mm turbo 10psi for now. Has 4.10 gears which is way wrong for the combo. What would u think would a good gear ratio for this combo! looking at 3.00, 3.07. I know this is not posted in gear section just thought i would get more real feed back in here.

18psi = 3.42s or you will go over 6500. -assuming low 230 cam or smaller-
3.73 will be nicer off boost and around town w/2.48 1st gear in 80E and 4k+ weight.
3.73 will want bigger tire for high boost if you want to run 28's on street and 30-32 slicks.
3.42 w/28 (275/60 15) is similar to 3.2x w/26 (275/40 17) or (275/50 15)
See Blown385 build thread on TTF. lots of video & runs 142 ish w/80mm.

this is a street truck that will go to track every now and then! He is about to go on a 4+ hour trip to Houston with the 4.11's now. lol his cam is in the mid to high 230's .I originally said 3.55s would be best all around
