Any updates to this? I know its a super old Thread, but I am building a similar setup, 370 Y2K 91mm, just as a street/strip car.. I saw the dyno vids, but that was the last I heard about this..

IN for some updates!!

Super old thread but it's still moving along! The engine, turbo kit, and transmission are ready to go in. The cage and front suspension is complete, and the paint is almost done. Of course, GMHTP is no longer with us, but we're working on a new plan...

Here is a teaser shot from the paint shop:

and a rendering of what it will look like... soon.

More to come!

We've been in charge of the build from day one (working with GMHTP) and are still moving forward with it!

It does suck, we loved that magazine. But, we may have other print in the works and we're 100-percent going to run the 1/2 and 1 mile with SALT!

can i suggest something?

please PLEASE find wheels and tires fit for this top speed run stuff. too many cars are taken out by blowout on drag radials or street tires. those speeds are too damn dangerous to not do it right.

**UPDATE**

The car is in our possession here at the shop, and currently awaiting time for the build. We have several pressing winter projects that we are finishing up, and then we will be delving into this one! Once it hits the rack we will make sure to bump this thread and keep it going with updates.

Wishful thinking Mike.... There is a certain individual responsible for this build that continues to drag his feet when it comes to getting parts for the buld
