so IIRC in the other thread you said this may or may not fit in a 4th gen?

it looks good though. its not perfect, but it works. about as good as it gets with basic power tools.

Great project - can't wait to see they dyno charts!!

Do you think there's any distortion on the supercharger drive plate (the one mounted out in front of the supercharger with the tensioner on it) when the supercharger is under load? I guess if there is, it's not enough to throw the belt...

What about picking up an aluminum intake like this
http://www.holley.com/300-111P.asp

And machine some of top runners then welding a plate on to mount that supercharger where it goes!

Not a chance it will fit

Plate is 1/2" alum, its not flexing at all. Standoffs may or may not, its not enough to care about

1) Cant weld aluminum
2) For that much trouble Id buy a bare intake tub from magnuson, cram a crappy ATW intercooler in between and fab a simple flat adapter plate

Congratulations on setting it up yourself. Have you ever checked out toohighpsi? He's a DIY guy with an engineering background.

That's a pretty cool setup. What did you do the CAD modeling in?

AutoCAD 2002

Alot of guys hate working with AutoCAD, esp with 3D modeling, but it just comes easy to me. Takes me longer to draw in solidworks or Pro-E, so I use this and export to SW when I need a stress test or other simulation which is incredibly rare

Not much I cant do with it that Id need for a working drawing

After I redesigned the front plate to move the tensioner to the slack side, boost jumped from 6psi to 11psi

It made enough power to do this:

Switching gears this time and building another SC setup that people loved to bash on. Shall see how a 3.0L twin screw fares on the old 6.0L
