I wanted solid mounts but this is some good information that I never thought about, thank you I will be going with prothane mounts!

Thank you. Didnt know anyone would still read this haha.

Been a frustrating/slow couple years but that happens. There are many times when i wish this was still a SBE car with a stock trans making 700wheel. It was SO much fun and so reliable. I never had one single issue and the car ran ******* hard. I obviously got greedy and blew that when i turned it up haha. As with the beginning of any season, i have my hopes up for a good year. I worked a lot of bugs out of the new build towards the end of last year and there are few more im going to take care of before spring. I just want to beat the **** out of this car like i used to and have some fearless fun. It's close, I can feel it.

Havent had a single issue with the prothanes, dont really see a reason to go solid either.

Cant complain about them, got a great a deal on it all and i would use them again. Motor wise, car runs great.

Coilovers and an anti-roll bar are on tap for spring. Debating on buying some big n littles for the strip too.. I'd really like to make some passes but that thing called time is so hard to come by.

Small updates. Ordered a Boost Leash boost controller for 6 speed cars and got it installed this past weekend. Such a nice piece and the install is really easy, Randy did a great job. I was on the fence about CO2 but I still cant get the car to hook too well on 12lbs (gate pressure) so I'll get some C02 hooked up and bring the boost in gently since you can adjust ramp rate per gear. I also hit 24 lbs with it.. it was wild to say the least lol. Boost by gear will really make this car fun though. Still planning on ordering Viking coilovers for the front and rear, some Weld S77B's and a BMR extreme ARB to help with a track outing later this year!

Until then, I'm just going to enjoy putting miles on it and hitting boost as much as possible, car has been running great so far this year! Need other people to finish their's up so i can get some races in, its been awhile..

On to some pics

Woody kept hopping in the drivers seat every time i stood up, i think he was as excited as i was to get the controller installed.

And i recently got my Firehawk back from paint. Thinking Procharger for this car.. too nice to cut up for a big turbo build and i really enjoy the A/C haha.

It pains me to say it, but I did. I had the opportunity to buy a friends C6Z and I had to jump on it. This was car was SO close to be everything i dreamed of back when i was 16. I'm happy with the way it turned out, but I'll always wonder just how fast it would have ended up if i kept it. You'll see why below.

A sincere thank you to those that kept up with the build, hopefully i helped at least 1 person make some decisions or learn something. It was fun and I'm already planning my next build!

Some pics right before it sold. Just put Weld S77's with M/T Pro's. It hooked in every gear.

and the last video i have of it, taken about 2 nights before it sold. Ironically the vette i raced had exactly the same mods (heads/cam) as my new one, so thats how much faster the TA was haha. Crazy to think about because vettes leave hard as hell from a 40.

40-150ish.

No one can believe i sold it haha. I do miss it, but the vette is completely different kind of fun. i put 5k miles on it in 2 months and its not my DD, it's a blast every time i drive it. A/C is nice too lol

Glad someone enjoyed the build!

Hey man, I was googling info on the boost leash and this thread came up. I had talked with Brian about a car I just traded for that he had tuned in the past. He mentioned the guy who built its name was Ryan. I started reading this thread and realized I own your old car now. It still runs great, has 53k miles now. I've taken it to the track twice and broken it both times cuz it hooks too damn well lol. First I broke the crossmember/torque arm mount, no big deal I welded that up and flipped it for more ground clearance. Second trip broke the pinion clean in half! I've got some 3.70 us lightning gears I'm about to throw in it now. It's currently sitting on the lift. I traded my rock crawler I built from scratch and a stock 99 z28 with 208k miles for the car. Always wanted a SOM TA. The PO just washed it and took pictures of it from what I can tell lol, so I'm still finding stuff out about it and this thread certainly helped. Thanks.
