Turbo setup:
Custom build ST80 Turbo kit 1.15A/R
3.5' Downpipe going to STOCK TI EXHAUST for now.
Percision WG
Tial BOV.

Fuel:
RSI Fuel pump hanger (great product)
DW pumps.

83lbs Injectors.
Aeromotive fuel pressuer.

Cooling:
Dewitt Radiator.
Hypertech thermostat.
stock water pump.
also waiting for the dewitt bigger fans..

and some suspention/brakes/show parts here and there

couple of pics

on 10psi made 598rwhp 549rwtq SAE with very safe 10:7 A/F Ratio, 15timing.
91octane, 98F whether Running heavy 360Forged 19×12 in the back...

The car spools extremley fast on the street and drives awesome I'll post some dyno/street vids very soon (needs some better tires though) ..

Waiting for the boost controller to arriver then we'll turn it to 14-16psi.

Even though I wanted 620-650rwhp on 10psi I'm still very happy with the numbers with the safe tune , whether and stock catback...

Do you guys think it's possible to get 700-750rwhp on 14-16psi??
Hopefully we'll find out in the next two weeks..

Let me know what you guys think?

Sam

I don't see a reason you couldn't get 700-750rwhp.

The drivability is awesome I can drive the car in 6th gear at 45mph no surging or idle problems at all..
Thanks.

Hopefully it will be close to 800rwhp when I'm done with tune/exhaust and more boost.
Thanks.

I wouldn't get too hung up on numbers, especially with stock 241 heads. I think as you turn it up you'll meet your goals. I bet even with a budget ish TFS as cast 220 you'd pick up a decent chunk of power and probably lose a little boost.

Great looking vette, better believe ill be subscribing to this thread.

im still new to boost but it looks like your heading in the right direction. Is that a turbo based cam? also maybe go for a little bit of head work. i can tell you that intake will be more than enough i've seen numerous people running a 1000+ with ls6 intakes.

I agree the stock 241 heads are killing the numbers.
I'm saving for some AFR 230

Thanks man.

The cam is blower based cam but its worked awesome in a couple of turbo cars I also like how the car sounds .

I have no plans to change the LS6 intake unless I wanted a looking engine maybe Vic. JR or Ported Fast 102mm Intake..

wow that awesome, good work, good luck with the quarter run, should be good to see what it pulls.

Will have to look into this brutespeed cam.

I'v been looking at cams for a 383 stroker around that mark with a 2,000/2,400-6,800/7,000rpm range and been unsure with the sizes but a lot of guys in the states where you are are getting good strong power and quick spooling with these bigger cams on the 114-115 lsa's and would still be good cams n/a like i'm looking for atm but will be good later on when adding FI.

That compressor wheel is on the low side of the efficiency map right now. You will see the numbers really climb as you start going up. Many of our LS based customers run that turbo and love it.

Would you say 900rwhp for that turbo is realistic?

Depends on the turbine wheel. The 83mm version will max out around 850-900 the 87mm and the new 92mm turbine wheels will allow for even more.

The cam will work awesome with 383ci it also made great on my car before the turbo 379rwhp with stock headers only catback and cam with 9:1 comp.

Hey sam, great numbers man!! I ended up buying the TFS as-cast 220's and have been real happy with them. Pretty good price too. You really just need something with a thick deck and then crank up the boost!! The car looks great and is a blast to drive i'm sure! Great job, congrats

Thanks Tracy I'm very happy with the numbers I still have a lot of stuff on the table I'm sure it will get me 630-650rwhp with the same boost..
The stock heads and exhaust are killing the car ..

I have 3 choices PRC/AFR/TFS I Still didnt pick my choice..

So anything new with your beast?

That stock z06 exhaust is probably costing you a lot of power. My friends TT vette picked up 30rwhp ditching it.
