It allows me to only add timing via the iat spark table therefore if it fails you don't have all that added timing...

I think I am going to relocate my IAT to the same spot, and do the same thing you guys are doing with adding and subtracting timing with the IAT table in HPT.

can someone explain moving the iat sensor? trying to see what difference it would make behind the throttle body as opposed to in a charge pipe...? i understand the IAT sensors in MAF's are slow to respond but what advantage in a regular iat sensor?

When the meth fails, IATs climb, timing is pulled. Engine is saved.

Then why not place the IAT between the throttle body and meth nozzle? Won't that achieve the same thing?

Thats the intent.

If you have a 5 wire MAF, you need to separate the MAF from the IAT. Spraying meth over the MAF will cause a major rich state.

MAF>Meth>IAT>TB

so to understand are you undoing the maf harness and then installing a IAT sensor near the TB?

understand that exactly... so is this just a big deal for guys running mafs? if your speed density already does it matter where the iat is as long as it is downstream of the meth? cant see any other advantages being behind the throttle body expect with a maf? unless im missing something?
