Default EPP cam on LQ4 with LS3 Heads

Will it fit without any PTV issues? What will the power be like? I will be running a 4l60 and a 76gts on a custom built truck manifold kit. Would I be set with this cam or better off getting a custom cam?

As far as I know I haven't had any PTV issues. LQ4, L92 heads, LS9 Gaskets, EPP cam. It's almost always better to have a custom cam that matches your setup but this cam will work, even if it's not ideal.

No PTV problems, been done many times on the LS3 engines. We have seen incredible gains with this cam and the LS3 heads. Bob

Do you have any input on how this cam would do with a turbo rather than a blower (seeing as it's a "blower cam")?

Blowers and turbos need different cams. Just get one custom specd to your set up. Its not much more.

The idea behind finding out if this cam would work for me or not was to know if I could look for a used one. A used EPP cam will be significantly cheaper than a brand new custom spec cam.

The very first car we ever used this cam in was a twin turbo Corvette, shown here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXY2RttIAQ4 Bob

Thanks Bob! So, the verdict is that I should buy this cam for my LQ4 with LS3 heads and it will work well I guess? Sounds good to me!

Let me know how it works out for you. I have the same cam in my ls1 and want to know if it will work good in an ls3 as well

It won't be for a while, but if I do end up running it I will try to remember to let you know how it goes.

We put this cam in an '08 Corvette LS3 and with headers/exhaust and a D-1SC at 8 psi of boost we had to pull a lot of timing out of it to keep it under 700 rwhp! The great flowing heads combined with this cam make great power. Bob
