Default VHT on the street

I figured this would be just as good as place as any to ask this question.
I have a 2006 gto that I’m hoping to get finished this winter.
It will consist of 365 ls2, prc aftermarket ls3 heads with a f1r procharger pullied to max the blower at 7000 engine rpms.
My car is 99% street car.
I have a second meth pump set up that I have laying around, the car hooked decent on the street on the 12psi but when we turned it up to the 22psi it was all over the place,(F1) so I can only imagine what its going to do with around 30psi going through it.(F1R).
can you spray VHT through the pumps that are used for meth?
I need a way to beat these nitrous cars that are running around here on the street

You sure it's even capable of moving enough air to make 30psi ?

Surely even at 22psi you're bound to be spinning it near its limit ?

And what tyres are you using ?

Is that stuff a joke or serious ?

Do you spray it onto the tyres or track ?

That's already on massive slicks. I'd expect it to grip anyway.

How much needs sprayed ? How long does it need to soak ? Any real evidence of on road testing using road tyres ?

Or is it purely for soft sticky tyres ?

Your never going to hook a street tire with big power if thats what your talking about. If you talking about DR's than yes pimp juice works very well for DR's also.

Pimpjuice works, It adheres to rubber, pour in front of the tires and do had good burnout or two. But street tires arent going to work. That nova probly makes 1000hp plus and still can hook it, If you dont have serious suspension and tires, Then theres no hope to hooking that kind of power on the street.

The 22psi on the f1 was pullied to max out at 6800 rpms, that was what I was spinning the engine.
the f1r is three sizes bigger and should make another 8ish psi.
Boost is really a false reading, as its a restriction of the hole engine combo.I had ported 243 on the old set up, The new 250cc runner ls3 heads flow another 100+ cfm
so it really might not make any more boost then what the f1 did but the cfm moving through the engine will be much more=more hp

Im running a 265 radial on a 18inch wheel

also.... I want this to be sneaky.
I want to put two 15gph nozzle under the car facing the rear tires on each side and be able to spray directlly on my tires (by switch) before I do a lil burn out
( I hook...they sit there and spin)
so if I could set up my seconed pump and tank for vht nobody would ever know...
but will it destroy the pump and nozzles after 1 use or after 100.
like I said I want to be sneaky lol
I do plan on going to a full slick for this

Let me know how it goes. I was planning on doing the same exact thing. I was going to use 2 M7 nozzles in the kick panel right infront of the tires. I planned on using the windshield washer pump/resivor. I know I need to finish my suspension but I run a 295/55/15 M/T radial. I think it willk do ok once the suspension is setup right. I've heard a lot about that pimp juice before....I'll make sure I get some. Our combos will be quite similar.

i recommend a much smaller rim and much much bigger tire like a 315 at a minimum your talking about trying to make almost 1400 hp hook on the street

Since when does anyone question how you prep for a race. If you have to be "SNEAKY" bout that your prolly not getting paid in the first place. If your doing it for fun your a moe . Be safe and smart with your car or buy a civic just my opinion.

And if your 60' is any better then a 1.40 you better find the perfect road with absolutly no dust to dead hook

The idea has been brought up here several times and nothing usually come of it, although it would be neat to see.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...r-applier.html

Why not try a more conventional route like taller/wider tires, suspension etc? One thing to think about is that no track will let you run while spraying this stuff going down the 1/4....

I've seen people do this with a wind shield washer pump and tank spraying on the tires...be a cheaper solution

Or you can just get out of the car and pour some on the ground, which is free.

You honestly think anyone you run from a dig for $ isn't going to prep the street with trackbite, PJ, etc..

^^^^ This. Yes, it would be nice to have something to spray it on the ground for you but Its something more than likely you will have to maintain.

Start the vid at 3:55 mark. We use a 50/50 mixture of trackbite and denatured alcohol. We are the 3rd gen in the right lane in the vid. The camaro pulls the wheels off the ground about a foot on the street. We spray it out about 40ft and light it, then we pour a little in front of the tires and do a burnout in it and roll it out. Works every time.

We have other vids I just can't find them. This is also on a 26x10x15 Hoosier slick. If you ever seen one its not a real big tire. Here's what they look like on my car.

well if im the only one getting a prep surface, the race should be in my favor.
and yes there are some racing done for some decent money.
I know of three cars here local that damn near dead hook on the street.
3500lbs cars
I know I can not hook as well as them, so this is why I want to use vht to help my 4000lbs car come out of the hole
