I'm highly interested in details of your tunnel mods for the 4l80e as I'm about to do the same myself.

The main area of interference is the passenger side where the trans cooler lines go into the trans, you could make it fit without cutting out thee whole tunnel but it was just easier that way for me. I cut around the tunnel about 1" off the floor and used that 1" to create a flange to attach the new taller tunnel to. I also made a new trans crossmember and incorporated a driveshaft loop in as well while the tunnel was out. I will post pics tomorrow.

Trans tunnel mods are complete new trans crossmember and driveshaft loop are in just need to finish a few odds and ends then install the motor and trans for the final time then I will start the wiring and plumbing...I am way more than ready to hear it run!
Rust free would seal the deal for me too, it's going to be a wild ride! Bob

I have been busy got the trans tunnel, crossmember and driveshaft loop all finished then stuck the trans in it for what I hope is the final time this afternoon. Time to start wiring as much as I hate to!

I'm on the fence about cutting the dash out and running the A-pillar bars through and in front of the dash or behind the dash. Since you have them behind the dash any regrets?

No regrets here, I am 6'6" and can easily get in and out with the bars behind the dash. As much trouble as it is to go through the dash you will only gain 3" of clearance not really worth the trouble.

installed the headers they are Schoenfeld 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 and really suck they did not fit well at all but I made them work for now, I will be building my own 2" primary headers at a later date. I also discovered I will have to add two more u-joints to my steering shaft...it never ends LOL.
Got all the sound mat in and started the wiring this morning so it will be a few days for anymore updates still waiting on my new fuel cell the pump is mounted so hopefully the cell will show up so after the wiring I can attack the fuel system plumbing.
I sold the F1R I had and was planing on going F2 but after looking at the F1X specs I believe it will be the best option so I am going to give the new blower a try.

It will be interesting to see how the F-1X does for you. Bob

Bob I am excited to get it, I hear nothing but good things about the new blower and the power it is capable of, it appears procharger hit a real home-run with this one.

Did I mention how much I hate wiring??? Still wiring missed a few days due to hanging out with the family (they come first you know) but have the gauge cluster wired and ready to go in and the gauge panel that goes in the radio hole too. All of the electrical components are in the car and mounted and all the wire is pulled to the correct location working on terminating everything now and this car has a bunch of wires!
Still waiting on a fuel cell apparently it is on backorder from JAZ should be ready to fire this coming weekend.

I have about 90% of the wiring complete going to working on finishing it up tomorrow.
UPS brought me more parts today got my FAST dual wide band with the RPM sensor. Anyone else using the FAST wide band and how do you like it? I plan on wiring it into HP Tuners for the logging capability.
I finally found the fuel cell I needed Atlantic Speed in MD had it in stock got it on the way hopefully it will get here before Saturday if it does I can fire it off for the first time.

Got a lot done this weekend finished up all of the wiring and am I glad that is over! Got the intake on and all the engine harness plugged in and ran the -10 feed and -8 return lines then realized I goofed up and bought the wrong size AN fittings for the fuel rails so no start up yet but really close. Hope to get a little done this week but will have to slow down as I start work again tomorrow after 14 months of vacation.

Love this car. What did you use for motor mount plates and what kit did you buy for the trans tunnel? A kit from a chassis builder maybe? Thanks a lot. Can't wait to hear this thing.

I used trandapt plates and prothane mounts the car has a Heidts front clip.
The trans tunnel kit I bought from chassis engineering in Vero beach FL.
I can't wait to hear it either with any luck I will fire it up tomorrow afternoon!

Thanks for the kind Comments!
