Default heads for a 383 turbo motor?

hey guys im kinda new to the v8 world and am just lost in it all.

so the project im working on is a ctsv with a stock 115k ls6. i picked up a forged bored/stroked iron 5.3 (now a 383). the short block i got is as bare as can be. ithe car is going to have twin pt 5858s. and am shooting for around 800rwhp ish. the dilemma im haveing is should i pull the stock 115k ls6 apart and use everything but the short block on my new motor or buy new heads and cam for the new motor?
the new block is going to be 10.5-1 with 64cc heads. but id like to get it down around 9.0 to 9.5-1 for it to be a turbo motor.

what heads if any should i buy? prc ls6 stage 1?
what cam for a boost motor?
lsa?
im just vary lost on all this v8 stuff and ill like to not buy things twice.
thanks for helping a noob out.

Stock casting 317 heads flow pretty much the same thing as LS6's but have a bigger combustion chamber (71cc). Quite a few people have made good power with them.

Cam depends on where u want the power band.

O'....

Tell Spiker to sale that rice rocket and build something with a V8.

Interesting, so a 5.3 can take a 4" stroke crank and be bored to take 5.7 pistons ?

Would this give a better combo for big boost than an alloy based 383 ?

The iron blocks flex less under high load, so the short answer is yes.

Still need more input on a good cam

is there still plenty of cylinder wall thickness when bored to 5.7 for big boost.

Spotted a cast 5.3 locally and would consider fitting my 383 rotating assembly
if it would handle 18-20 psi boost better than an ls1 block.

Get you the latest copy of Car Craft -LS Series Power. They did a 5.3L, 383 stroker, maxed out a BW 72mm at 21psi. Made nearly 1000HP and over 1000 TQ.
Also has some good tech info in it.

Untouched 241 heads only the dual springs kit..
I just hope the ported AFR 225 heads will gain 40+rwhp on the same boost level.

Thats close to 1,000 at the Flywheel right?

Pretty good for a 72mm. I didn't think a 72mm could even get close to 1,000.
