Default LQ4 S480 Build

This is the first stages of the build. Got the motor Trans and everything out today. Actually was a lot easier than i thought it would be but a long way to go either way. But will have this done by April I hope.

Next time I suggest using a cherry picker for lifting the car.. that jack/wood method looks sketchy. Looking forward to your progress! plans of going the truck manifold route or tubular?

Ya if i had a lift i would of pulled it up with that but we were very careful its not going anywhere. Truck manifold for now and i have a guy whos going to build some headers for me and do all the welding including the cage. He wants to get his name out there and is damn good. I need to wait for my trans then i'll throw the lq4 in

So have torn the lq4 apart and its nasty i have some pictures but its a mess i'll be cleaning it up and two bolts are broken off in the head from the manifold....gotta be something annoying of cours. Anyways i bought some katech rod bolts and am going with arp or katech for the head studs. I want a cam just trying to figure out what size i should get fbodyjunkie has been helping.....What else should i get some springs and pushrods??? i dont want to go do crazy on this motor just some little things to wake the motor up before i add the turbo on it. Or should i just do the rod bolts and go for it
