ls1 intake isn't the problem we've used them to A LOT of power, I switched from ls1 to ls6 and gained nothing at the track(didn't get to dyno the difference).

I didn't think you was going to gain anything on the head swap, the numbers are about on par as I figured.

I ran the little 3.5" procharger intercoolers(in series) and didn't lose power over my 31x12x3 so unless you have a really bad intercooler or small one(didn't go back and check which one you had) I don't think that would be the problem.

For example, we have two 7675 5.3's making over 850rwhp on 24lbs, I'd look into going to it and getting rid of the nitrous. At your weight(and will lose some with no bottle and smaller turbo, you should be able to go 150+ mph with it.

I'll add on our customers mustang, the timing is low and it still made 850+ rhwp, talking 200rwhp diffence, thats a big power difference!

Anyone ever thought about his merge there's no y or merge really on the exhaust side the pipe just goes straight into the side of the other....maybe its causing a back pressure issue???

I dont think having an open down pipe is the issue at all. I would be checking back pressure tho.

maybe head flow isnt as important on boosted motors..??>

are you running an air filter? restriction?

i would throw a tbss intake on it if you go with a truck intake. cant wait to see it at the track!!

yeah i agree, when i ran it at the track i was running about 20lbs and spraying 125, and i went 141 unlocked weighing 3430, 2000 DA

hope i can nail donw 750 with the spray and go faster.

im running no air filter at all. just open turbo.

im not opposed to redoing that part of my hotside that looks like a new jersey intersection

I am pretty sure your "merge" is directing exhaust gases against the opposing bank vs. "merging them"

^^ I agree with that, but I don't think that is costing him almost 200 hp.

I've never seen any back to back test with one crossover pipe working against the other one so it'd be hard to say!

Hopefully that's the problem, its not hard to change, just a little time consuming. But it does look like to pipe on the passenger side is pushing into the driver side vs towards the turbo

Another 850+ rwhp stock bottom car, on pump?

Either you and Max M are doing something drastically different than the rest of the board or this is BS.

You are doing the LS community a disservice being tight lipped about these "new tricks"

Logistically people halfway across the country won’t be coming to you for a tune. Releasing the concept (no specifics) behind your approach won’t kill off your customer base as many of these people refuse to tune for themselves.

all i am saying is my friend has a really good setup, 6.0 borg warner billet s480 custom cam
beautiful turbo kit and on 20lbs he made 697rwhp

so i am only 50hp off that...

and he has a nice merge, larger intercooler and piping, all smooth transitions, larger motor, "better turbo"

and im only 50hp off with a 5.3 and some of the "shittiest" hot side and cold sides you have ever seen.

this is why i am skeptical.
we will see though i already bought the parts they are on the way
