Big power REAL street cars- check in
Curious- Who here is running 800+rwhp and regularly drives that thing on the street? Drive it to work occasionally, to the store, cruise-ins, saturday nights in Mexico. You know what I'm talking about.
Disclaimer: I am NOT asking what you think a street car is. If it's stripped, that's fine I don't care. If you drive it on the street regularly, it's your street car IMO..DO NOT turn this into one of those threads where everyone argues on the definition.
What is your car? What is the combo? Maybe this is a good idea for a sticky because a lot of the same questions get asked over and over and a lot of guys have big ideas for 1000+hp street unicorns when they hit this section.
Who is doing it for real and what parts are you using?
Mine-
1- '02 C5 coupe- LSx/hyd roller/TFS heads (what rockers should I be looking at?) Twin TC-76s/Powerglide. Looking to trap 180..ish at the track. It is a no b.s., nothing removed, full weight, radio blaring, a/c blowing, power memory seat for my fat *** having, street car.

Budget build:
01 SS, M6
sam built 370 iron, hardbloked
317 heads
01 LS6 cam
F1A
Makes a "safe" 820rw on pump/meth last time dynoed. I do my own tuning now so maybe a little more power..
Sounds stock except for the blower noise. Car has a/c, stereo and I drive it everywhere on weekends.

IDGAF but i call bs on 180 mph trap speed. It takes Atomicfusion a very well built car to do that. It will take 1600rwhp @ 3500lbs. More power if you do it just not gonna happen on hydraulic roller and live.

AES 390 (being built as we speak)
FLT STG 5
LS9 Gaskets
Brutespeed Blower Cam
PRC 237 Heads
E85/Meth
D1SC- FMIC-Aster Bracket- Maxed Out
Should be right in that ballpark, and I guarantee you I will have no problems going to get groceries, on dates, or tracking it every now and again.

Mine is all there, will be out this summer unless something out of the blue sets it back.
Anyone else care to add to the original subject of the tread instead of take away from it? If you come into this thread without a car just to bash other's goals,

[QUOTE=El_Diablo;16191405]SICK.

That is the plan.
I seem to recall a lot of cars that went 180s on hydraulic roller motors...

Nice looking car. jeff

I drive mine a fair amount over the weekends and stuff. Calculators last year said it was nead 800 rwhp running 9.5@152 weight 3600#. Looking to run a much better number with year after and new motor and turbo stuff comes together.
I also know MikeP2002 with his 383 D1 procharged C5 has made 800 rwhp and he puts 10k plus miles on his car a year. He drives that thing all the time

63 Nova former race car turned street car again 410" LSX AES short block Callies Magnmun crank, Callie's Ultra billet rods, crank& rods rem polished & microblued, coated CP pistons, LSA heads by WCCH, F2/F1X Procharger depending on where I am running it. Jakes spec 4L80 with T-brake, 12 bolt 35 spline rear 4.30 gears. Initial start up happened last weekend hope to get it on the dyno in the next month, expect way north of 1000hp.
