Default Lets Boost it to the Moon.

I'm putting a Nitrous Fogger Intake on my 2002 SS stock long block no cam and going to spray a 150 shot through it for just the summer, But this "FALL" im dropping the motor, doing a lq4 370 build and a front mount turbo set up, why you ask because I want to go FAST. My question is and lets debate it, Cathedral Port or rectangular port for my boost application, (stock crank, forged rods, forged pistons, built 4l60, yank 3600ss, 8.8 built to the hilt, 4.10's, 325 50 15 mickeys, fully adj. rear sus.) I want 750 rwhp, So for the best bang for the buck LS3 heads, 317 heads, or 243 heads. Whatever it takes to make my goal i'm down for it. But ballin on a budget lol..

While you are at it, you need to plan on a different transmission, That built 60e will not last very long.

GM High tech just did a comparison. comparing a CNC'd cathedral vs. a CNC'd rectangular, the cathedral had more hp & torque throughout the power band. the peaks were within 1 or 2 hp of each other.

Id say stick with cathedral, i think the increased port velocity will help the turbo spool. And yes, you will need a taller gear setup

People can do pretty damn cheap budget set ups. But if you're like 90% of us, you'll get the "as long as i'm this far" attitude and te budget is out the window lol

There's plenty of shops that have 60e trannys living in that range but u will def pay for it. If u do a budget build just dnt skimpy out on fuel system at all u might could even consider e85 which would help a lot.

Yeah loose the 4.10 gears for something more like a 3.50 or 3.70 Also get that 3600 stall tightened up

No reason a catherdral port head will not meet your goals

Yea like other people said, 4.10s are too high for a turbo car. Lower gear is better for turbo cars. I run 3.42s in mine. Been happy with them so far

S475+317s+TH400

The little things like valvesprings, injectors, fuel pump, sensors, flanges, etc are going to eat up your budget with a quickness.

Maybe in a lighter car. But, in a heavy car it will not last very long at that power level. I don't care who builds it.

Info has been helpful, my tranny is another issue I'll deal with down the road, I also know my 4.10 will have to be swapped with a 3.73 or so. I'm a big gear kinda guy. "What gas prices?" lol. I do want to know why dschmittie1 mentioned my 3600 yank would need to be tightened up? I am still open to suggestions on if I should do 243's 317's or LS3's. what head is it going to take to make this 700 ~ 800 rwhp number? Also a few guys have mentioned the S475 turbo that's a 75mm Dodge Cummins turbo correct? I was kinda sold on a Precision 88mm, but still ballin on a budget lol.

For some people it does. Usually when you see posts like all the above its a whole list of people who had no idea what they were doing to start with and exceeded their budget. Plan ahead and all the things you will need and there is no reason you cant build a reliable setup at a decent cost.
