Should be a fin project Brian, hope it goes well for ya. Just keep it on the mild side so ya don't get out of control with it, and I'm sure it will be a ton of fun!

Discussed the engine with shawn last night...More or less finalized the engine setup...no changes from what I said earlier...

427 RHS-based motor
Diamond billet pistons
change to steel rods
Trickflow 245 6-bolt heads
T&D rockers
keep solid roller setup (change to smaller cam though)
10:1 compression (new heads are same chamber CC as old heads)
Pro-Flo intake

should be a bad little b^tch

I am told I should have my heads back in the next 2-3 weeks. If you still need a set then you can use mine.

Looks like I may go with a BMR k-member with LS1 mounts and a pinto steering setup (manual steering)
QA1 double adjustable struts up front (coil over)
AFCO DA shocks in the back
probably will roll on a 275/60/15 drag radial tire

will probably custom build my own moly cage...
Just wondered why QA1 double adjustable struts on the front and AFCO DA shocks in the back? Why not QA1's or AFCO's on the front and back?

rear shocks are the more important from what I've experienced. I don't think AFCO makes anything for the front suspension of a third gen.

hmmm...very interesting for the instrument cluster....has options that also allow incorporation of boost and fuel pressure right in the driver information center...

You do get to put struts on the front of the 3rd gen though, and there's about a million options to do that.. actually better off with that as a race car base then a 4th gen (oops I said it)

Don't go with the DD gauges they are a PITA and never seem to be that accurate, I am speaking frm experience having installed multiple sets. Not to mention they are ugly IMO.
