Nate, what did you use for the front piece below the bumper? And what is the rear wheel size and backspace? And rearend width? I could not find it in the thread. I love the car man as I always have. It just looks bad!! Did you run the Burns mufflers ever? Just a thought.

I wish I had a pic of that. She said she got some pretty crazy looks and people revving beside her on the freeway.

Nate I was looking at the firewall mods. Did you cut the original firewall out completely? Also with the mods did you have to cut the bottom of the cowl piece out? Maybe you cut portions of it? Just wondering what you took out and left on the firewall/cowl area. Thanks

Absolutely love this thread. Best part is your wife drives the car with your kids and you can drive it to any track and lay down an 8 sec pass. Doesn't get any better than that. Congrats to you and your continued success.

Due for an update!
We took the Nova on a road trip for our annual One Guy's Garage Drag Weekend in September. Traveled 800 miles from MN to IA then to Great Lakes Dragaways in WI, to Byron Dragway in IL, and back to TriState Raceway in IA. Had about 30 cars along and it was a great time. Since I have been neglecting to complete her turbo Duratec 62 Falcon my wife also wanted to try a chance behind the wheel. First pass 12's, second pass 10's, third pass 9's...now she's addicted lol.
Drove through some rain in IA. Dirty roads!
We love fall racing so my wife and I took a trip down to Byron Dragways again and fought some traction and setup issues. Turns out my Pro Bracket Radials were done for and wouldn't get consistent traction. Did manage a new personal best of 8.25 166.
Installed some fresh tires and also found some transmission issues that had been plaguing us all year. Was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of Extreme Automatics new "Billet 80" reverse manual valve body with a Griner brake. Boy does it work well. No more auto shifting and bye bye column shifter. Firm positive shifts now and no more burnt clutches. Extreme Automatics FTW. Precision shifter is a nice piece as well.
Something new that we've been fighting this year is the fine line between quick 60fts (1.19-1.22) and wheelies. 8lb launch is fine, 12lb launch no Bueno. Really learned a lot with what the car wanted with shock adjustments and limiting front suspension travel.
Finally got the suspension stuff figured out and after tightening the front shocks to full stiff compression and extension and limiting front travel to about an inch...along with 36lbs of boost with one second..I was rewarded with this vvvv
