370 C6 Manifold A/C build Precison 7675 CEA
I suppose it's time to finally start a build thread on my street/strip car. This project started right around a year ago, and it is finally getting close to finished. After flirting with the idea of a rear mount, I wised up and decided to go front mount. Long story short... the car sat in a shop from May of last year until February and wasn't touched. I got fed up with the guy constantly lying to me about when the car would be done, so I went and picked my car up. I then sent all my parts to Josh@KY Turbo and told him to make me an A/C kit built around C6 and truck manifolds and a PA racing turbo K.
Engine- 10:1 forged setup with 317 heads, a custom spec turbo cam by my tuner, LS2 intake, and NW 92mm throttle body.
Fuel- twin walbro setup by me, 2nd pump on a Hobbs switch, -8 feed, factory feed as return, Aeromotive FPR, AEM meth kit with flow safe monitor
Trans- upgraded T56, Spec 3+ clutch, Strange CM driveshaft
Rear- Ford 9" aluminum bolt through center section, 3:25 gear
Misc.- AEM boost controller, and wideband gauge, SJM line lock kit with ABS delete, battery relocated to hatch, BMR frame connectors and torque arm
Turbo- Precision 7675 CEA, JGS 50mm wastegate, TiAL BOV
I'm hoping to make in the 700 rwhp with this car. It's going to be a blast to drive on the street, but I more than likely will stick an auto in the car eventually. It's getting a SD tune on 93 pump gas. I'll post pictures as I get them.

Not sure if your set on the LS2 Intake but you know they come apart under high stress like some of the FAST right? Otherwise I have been waiting for a build like this!!

I didn't know about that. I've read about plenty of issues with the Fast
intake but missed any issues with the LS2. I know there are several guys out there running 20+ lbs with them. Having said that, just because i haven't heard about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I made that decision back when I was going with a TC 76 and shooting for 8-10lbs of boost and 600 rwhp. I chose the LS2 because a) it was a bargain b) it's cathedral port and c) it would work with my 92 mm throttle body I was already running on the car.

I don't think so. Like I said I may be wrong. I however am positive that the LS2 is like the FAST manifolds that were coming apart. The LS6/1 never has (that I know of).

I could have swore that they were that glued resin layer stuff that starts separating.

I met a retired gm engineer who helped design the ls1 at the track last weekend, he said when the intakes break its usually gonna be on the floor of the intake. Glad i hadnt taken my intake off to cut the ribs to fit the stock steam tube back in there! Ive also seen one blow the back half out of it from someone on here. not a common failure, but gm ones have broken.

I ordered the header kit with the same turbo from josh april 1, if i had known he made this kit i might have ordered this one. They both are nice kits and cant wait to get mine and see what kind of power i make. Good build and looking foward to seeing your results.

Getting really close to finishing up my build. Waiting on an underdrive balancer to finish bolting up the kit from Josh@KYTP. Also picking up my valve covers and charge pipe from the tig welder Sunday. Had to get some bungs welded in. The only major thing left to do is weld in the crossmember for the torque arm and bolt everything back on the car that isn't already in place.
Any suggestions for the air filter? I'm going to fit the biggest one I can, but it seems there are a lot of opinions on K&N vs AEM vs HKS etc. With next week being the week before the holiday I'm not sure I will make it to the tuner. I should easily have it running by Tuesday or Wednesday though. Not too far away now!

Finally have some updates for you all. The car is finished, and I will be picking it up this weekend from Dynospeed in Memphis. The car made 683/654 on pump gas spraying AEM's largest meth nozzle (it needs another nozzle or a bigger jet). View my first post for the details on my setup. The encouraging thing about those numbers is that A) it's through a 9" and B) it's dropping off boost in the upper RPM range. It makes 15 lbs around 4500 rpm then settles in around 11.5lbs to redline. My AEM boost controller wouldn't work (I have to send it back), so it has a manual boost controller on it at the moment. I'm going to go ahead and pick the car up and drive it, but I want to figure this out at some point in the future. I called precision, and they didn't think it was a backpressure issue with that turbo (7675 with .96 a/r housing). Others have said the wastegate is the culprit. It isn't blowing off any boost when the boost drop occurs however. I'm a little confused as to what's going on. Any ideas?

Great results with 11.5psi up top. I have a pt7675 on a 6.0 too and my boost drops off exactly the same way with my $20 ball and spring mbc and drops off a little less but still drops off with my turbosmart bleeder type mbc. I think electronic boost controller or going off wastegate spring only (no mbc) is the only way around it.
