What a day!!
So we took out the Butt mount with LMR yesterday... just more for my practice than trying to set any personal bests. We went to Royal Purple in Houston the day after Nationals... to our surprise... all the big dogs were still there tuning!! Nothing like alternating racing with NHRA Top fuel cars, JEGS, NAPA, John Forces team, and more.
So I needed to get my NHRA license and we decided to take it slow... four runs foot braking it only (no Trans lock).. we were trying to stay above 10 second runs.... Run four... footbreak, and breaking at the 1000ft mark.... went 9.89... I knew it was gonna be a good day.
Run five... we aren’t having any luck getting any data out of the BS3... so we are just running a safe tune... cant change anything its running rich but that’s ok cause we were there to let me practice. It sticks... we run a 9.40 at 151.0mph!!!! AWESOME...
So I am getting ready for my last run for my license and I go ask John Force if he will sign my license for me... He says "Well, I haven’t seen you run so I am not comfortable with signing bud... My daughter is about to run (Her first ever full run in a Top Fuel car) so if you can run again, I will stay and watch you run too"
I immediately line back up next to Brittany Force's car as she preps... watch her make a great run, and true to his word, he sits and waits for me to run my Camaro. Unfortunately my car couldn’t keep traction and broke loose at launch so I didn’t get any great numbers my last race... but come back around into pit row and John comes and says "Thats a great looking hot-rod you got there bud!" and proceeds to talk for a few minutes and signs my NHRA license #6 run!!! What a DAY!!
I want to specifically say thanks to Josh and Joe from LMR for helping me so much at the track that day... it was awesome!

It was an awesome day... really cool to see the big boys, and I thought it was great that John Force, with 8x full semi's of cars and crew took time to come and do that for me.
Car is 3845# with me in it.... pig.
The 9.40 run was my first run on Trans Brake... still only had a 1.589 60'
I cant say this enough.. none of this would have been possible without LMR's crew helping me! Thanks guys!
