Default Supercharger efficiency?

I know turbos have an efficient range they operate in and beyond that the power flat lines or worse.

Are superchargers the same way?

Say compare a P1 to a D1 to a F1?
Are their maps available or exist?

I was hoping to compare a D1 to a vortec of like size to see which better meets my needs as I am already leaning to vortec but do not want to buy twice.

Centripital superchargers are the same way as a turbo and have compressor maps that look similar

Expect a centripital (aside from the Rotrex units) to put out compression efficiencies lower than a turbo - simply because they spin slower.

Procharger does not (or least not that I'm aware of) publish compressor maps.

I'm just guessing here, but I think a Procharger dropped onto an LS1 is probably going to be in the 65 to 72% efficiency range.

With that being said - anybody with a non-intercooled Procharger want to volunteer some WOT scan logs?

Completely missed this response.

I am torn between going Procharger and Vortec but this will be on a gen 1 sbc but that will not change the efficient maps that I am looking for.

Maybe Brute Speed has access?

Centripetal?
They are called Centrifugal superchargers.

Maps exist, are they available? I dont think they are from Procharger, others are, such as Paxton.

A centrifugal air pump using centripital force...so sue me.

Still spelling it wrong... you should not confuse centripetal - with an E (petal) with centrifugal.

It uses Centrifugal force..., perhaps why they are called centrifugal superchargers.
The concept of centrifugal force is applied in rotating devices such as centrifuges, centrifugal pumps, centrifugal governors, centrifugal clutches, etc., as well as in centrifugal railways, planetary orbits.

Right on prochargers main page, THEIR product is called a centrifugal supercharger.

whatever.. doesnt matter, and would be a useless argument.

For the OP -
as mentioned - procharger does not release their compressor maps, so no easy way to compare.

10/10 for trolling me into a really dumb argument

There is no such thing as centrifugal force. So, like I said, it is a centrifugal pump using centripetal force.

Nope, I don't have the ProCharger maps. Bob

Physicist here, quoted for truth

I wonder why they wouldnt publish them? Im curious as to the efficiency as well
