4.070 lq9 block will be ok on boost?
I have a lq9 block and was contemplating going .070 over to use an LS3/L92 style aftermarket piston and use a set of TSP small bore PRC LS7 heads or a set of the LS7 RHS heads.
I was just trying to see if it will be safe on boost with going out that far with the walls. Plus, how far has somebody gone out with an iron block on the bore?

If you are going to boost it stay at 4.03". I have a 4.07" bore on mine and it is filled to the water pump ports with HardBlok. I still would not boost it. I did not get the spec on wall thickness, just the sonic test came back "good" for that bore.

If you really want to make as much power as you can buy an ERL, RHS, or LSX block.
Just because one guy did it and didn't break, doesn't mean its proven.
4.030" Bore and a Set of TFS, AFR, or PRC heads. Its not like head flow is going to make a night and day difference.
Boost is just a reference of boost btw. You need to be looking at how much CFM you need to make a certain number. What turbo are you going with?
