I can't remember if it's the TU1 or TU2 I have but it's the one that's 225/225 from speed inc. awesome cam for a 346. My car with a large frame made 756/781 at 15psi with my old 80mm.

Still have the same cam in the same motor with a large frame on it now. Made 781/775 @ 9psi. All on 93 octain. Gonna push it as far as it will go

Another cam that has been used and makes good power is the GT2-3 from lingenfelter. Skinnies on here has used it in his 5.3 to run 8's in his rx7 and 9's in his LTD.

I run the tu1 cam in my car and like it. My build is very similar to yours so I don't think you'll be disappointed. Car is really responsive and spool is really quick.

What size is the turbine and AR of the housing? Stall speed, rear gear and weight of the vehicle?

68mm turbine(TC78) with .96AR. Stall is a 3600 circle-d multidisk, 3.73 rear and the car is full weight at about 3600lbs. The only issue I have is due to the small turbine wheel I choke a little up top, but this car has such a great midrange and spools so damn quick.

Looking at the valve events for the TU1 I wouldn't be surprised at all that it spools quick and has lots of power down low. I can also see it falling off up top, the intake valve close is early so it helps with dynamic compression and filling the cylinder longer by opening the intake valve earlier which helps low end power.

It wouldn't be my choice though for a bigger turbo, but with the small turbine you have, and an early evo opening you are able to spool your turbo very quickly.

That said I was actually asking the OP what his car weighs, stall speed and rear gear

Fbody you seem to know your stuff on reading a cam card. Maybe you can calm my nerves a little on this swap.

I'm running a 4.8L with magnum 76/67 .96 t4 at 21-22psi and 50 shot of nitrous with a ls6 cam. Truck pulls very strong to 6k then goes flat.

Would you trust this cam with back pressure i'm likely seeing with my setup? Looking for 3500-6500 power. I'm looking for an extra 50-75HP to push closer to 9's 1/4. I leave on a transbrake and 2-step usually at 3400, but can go higher.

I have the cam in hand, just be up in the air if this is a good move with this turbo.

Thanks for your input bud and any others who care to share their thoughts.

Im in the same boat, can't decide between the TU1 or maybe even a custom one a slight bigger, but not as big as the TU2..
