I'd reccommend staying away from on3 in general. Id go turbonetics, precision, garrett, borg warner in no particular order.

precision 7675, better exhuast wheel/size than turbonetics, can get .96. 1.15 and 1.25 ar exhuast housings, .96 or 1.15 would work best. it is a T4 as well.

Thats what Ill be upgrading to when the time comes, although Precisions quality has dropped considerably from a lot of the reading i've done lately. Im running a Turbonetics F1 Turbine Hurricane Series currently.

Any particular reasons to stay away from On3, in general? Just curious...

My opinion only... , the On3 76mm BB will provide all your motor can handle...for a stock LS3 setup. Also, it's nice and compact and has had good reviews by those who have actually used them, myself included. It's a good unit to get you into the game at a fraction of the cost of the others listed above. Not saying that they aren't good units, just saying that you can get a good unit at 1/3 of the cost. Again... my opinion only...

OP... Front Mount setup I take it? Oh, and I wish you the best in whatever you do end up goint with.

I'm running a rear mount On3 Ball Bearing 76mm with .81 AR. I've had no issues with the turbo unit at all. There's another thread just about On3 Turbos. Everyone who's run them likes them, as far as I can tell. Everyone who sells the higher dollar units seems to knock them...in general. I haven't heard anyone who actually owns one complain about them.

does it run out of steam with a forged top end, ls2 heads, and cam setup?

Unfortunately, I can't say from personal experience on that one. Hopefully some day I'll be able to.

For my setup, at 10 lbs boost, with LS9 Cam and stock heads/bottom, it was pulling hard all the way to 6000 rpm.

I believe the specs are similar to the Turbonetics TC76, so I would imagine similar performance.

Maybe someone else who's run one and is forged can chime in.

Also... here's a nice long, in depth thread that discusses the On3 Turbos. Good read.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...on3-turbo.html

Hope it helps to answer some of your questions.

here are the specs on ebay

Cold Side:

Compressor Wheel 76mm
.80 a/r
4” Inlet and 2.5” Compressor Outlet
Inducer- 76.71mm
Exducer- 102.36mm

Exhaust Side:

Exhaust Housing T-4 Flange
.96 ar Exhaust Housing (.68, .81, 1.0 divided, 1.15 divided $30 charge for swapping housings)
