Default KR and running e85

Hi guys, I'm getting knock retard blips running a tad over 5psi on my 6.0l LQ9, the timing is at 15* when its at 5 psi around 3000 rpm. The turbo is a ebay gt45 and with no intercooler the intake temps are around 120F after a 0-70mph pull. Does this sound like false knock ? e85 should handle this no problem I would think? I would like to get 10 psi and keep the 15* of timing.

Thanks!

Yes it does sound like false knock, you are not asking to much of that fuel.

My buddy is running 5.5 psi in his 5.3 that has a small supercharger with IAT's in the 190+ range and 20* of timing and 92 octane it has no KR. Thats why this KR showing up on mine is kind of weird to me ?

Sounds like false knock or another issue going on, check the plugs to make sure you don't have some other issue.

I'm running the AC delco plug thats equal to the autolite 103 which I believe is stock heat range ? I was told they were good up to around 500whp and e85. I wonder if that is an issue ? I pulled the no. 7 plug yesterday and it just looked like a new plug, no coloring, there is around 600 miles on it. Sometimes the KR starts at 30% throttle with no boost then tappers off throughout the run after boost hits full on.

I went and go e85 from a diff station today and it still shows KR so i commanded 10* of timing and the KR got even worse.
