Default zero to huron speed in a day!

Well it's that time for FI!
Talked to Jon at Huron and got set up with a killer deal on the kit! So i pulled the trigger. The car is my DD and only vehicle, so I always plan installs and mods in a maximum of 24hrs down time. On to the set up.

Right now as it sits, I have PRC 2.5 heads 5.3 castings, futral f-13 cam on a 114, SS4000, fast 90/90, 3.73 gears....not exactly optimal for a turbo right? lol. The plan is, I have a motor in my garage im building for boost, for now, just getting the kit on, working out any bugs, amd maybe run 5 or 6 lbs of boost MAX because im right at 11:1 compression. Once i get the time to finish the boost shortblock i'll turn the wick up to 15+ psi. I'm going to be adding a scavenge pump on the return line for oil drain, the turbo sits very low, but all in all it's a very nice kit!!

Here are the pics of the install, enjoy!

Thanks! I am putting a Rossler t3 th400 in it in the next couple weeks. Then I should be ready to hit the dyno and the track. How much longer on yours? you heard OSW is closing down?

Yeah it took about 10 total hours by myself. In no way is it a bolt on kit lol, but most everything is there needed to get it going! I saw your build thread, looks like it's gonna be a fun car for sure! Are you worried how low the turbo sits? I have been driving mine for a week now, every once in a while i'll get a puff of oil smoke while cruising and coming to a light. Getting a scavenge pump to put on the return side just in case.

Thank you! Actually funny story, I was just talking about mimicking your set up with the new motor! You running the S400-HP88? I saw you put down 700 and some change, what did you do different to get the 830rwhp?

yeah thats the one. I was blowing through the converter pretty badly when it made 714, tightened up the converter and gained 100+hp/tq

Mine is pretty much done, we tried to fire her up last night but I'm still tracking down a issue, apparently I'm not getting power to the starter......

I also heard that, I guess BMP is our only option for some 1/4 passes......

What shifter are you running? Did you hook up the neutral safety to it? Yeah BMP is awesome, but so far away! have you been to cfrc?
