Default No Low End Power With Boost - Time Slip Pic...

01 Camaro, 4L60E, 2.73, Street Tires, no traction problems. Stock tune, 76mm ON3 turbo, ebay intercooler, 2.5" cold, 2" homemade crossover, precision wastegate, JGS BOV, stock 241 heads w/ stock springs, about 190K on the ODO.

It's getting about 4-5 PSI, and starts to run out of injector past 5K, AFR's start out <10 and creep into 11 before it runs out of injector. Peaks around 13:1 at redline.

It has very little power off the line, no hopes of ever spinning the tires, but it leaves light marks from a 40 roll.

Seriously?

I'd be more worried about what you are going to do when it breaks a piston(s) from your tune.

And your gears are one making your 60' so terrible. A converter would help also. Maybe a 2 step.

I'm building an LM7, so I'm taking my chances running 13:1 AFR's on a stock high miles LS1.

A tune won't really be worthwhile, since the engine is being pulled regardless. The thing I question is why it has absolutely NO low end power. It used to have SUBSTANTIALLY more stock. Bolted the turbo on and it barely moves below 4K.

Are you serious? I would think it is running exactly like it should since you are using a stock tune. In boost it must be going to ****....quickly!

yeah youre pegging out the map sensor, and im almost positive youre going to get tons of knock retard pulling timing.

just get a mailorder tune if youre worried about spending money. Im surprised you took it to the track like that.

Deffinitly swap out for some 3.42s or so, my 370 on 10psi felt like a dog with a 3.00 gear when I wasnt making much boost on a good tune.

I wouldnt suggest raggin on it anymore with a stock tune! Also 89mph in the 1/8th is still good for a 11.70. Thats what my Iroc ran with my old 383LT1.

Wow. Just stupid. Sorry.

Even if you have an lm7, you can make money by pulling that ls1 and selling it.

I hope you throw a rod through the block and it mangles the entire engine bay because thats how stupid it is running a stock tune.

2.73 gears are fine, I run 2.73's with a jy5.3, 76mm and at 3900+ lbs I've been 1.56 60ft with a powerglide on street tires! He's got a lot more 1st gear ratio than I have, seriously get a tune on that thing, that is dumb.

You also have a higher then stock stall and likely a transbrake.

Yes, but leaving on the footbrake, no 2 step, my point was just the gear is fine.

Be on the lookout for a "stock high miles ls1" in the classified.

Serious man, you are throwing money away, literally. Lots of people who are trying to go back to stock to sell their rod would be interested in a stock un molested ls1 to make their car stock again.

You need to tune that damn thing... ****...

The gears are fine but it needs a converter. That way it will spool much faster and you will be at full boost right of the line. That way you can blow it up at the 330 instead of the 660.

You need to get that thing some fuel and pull some timing or you will be walking home soon.

Car needs a tune bad.

That motor will live a long life if its tuned right. There are plenty of guys leaning hard on high milage stock bottom end LS motors.
