Good idea with the coat hanger. I will try and get that done on Sunday. I want this thing running ASAP. It's been about 9 months now .

Car should be running in the next couple of weeks. Installing the trans this weekend and starting the wiring. Not sure what to do about the radiator hoses either. Might buy some different ones and do a little trial and error unless someone has anything else in mind.
mine sits realllllly close to the pump too. Im gonna run a blanket and just let it rub. itll eventually wear through some the blanket but the way i see it, itll just rub away until that material is gone and basically fit itself. the underhood temps are pretty damn hot and i think a blanket would help a lot. my seteup is nearly identical to yours.

during mock up, but you see how close it is, mayyybe a 1/2 inch

That's what I figured I would do as well eventually. What size filter did you run btw? I have a little less than 9" from the turbo to the frame rail. I bought a 7" AEM dry flow just to be on the safe side.

Haha nice. I used to date a girl who lived up that way.

No worries on the pics man. I appreciate the help and insight. I was just worried my filter may be too small, but it sounds like it should be just fine.

Some more progress made Friday and Saturday.

Transmission in using the BMR crossmember.

Madman dipstick.

Trans cooler.

Fans.

Will hopefully get some more work done today. Try to get the radiator hoses figured out, might start some wiring too. Hopefully running in a week or so.

Swap the water pump pulley to one from either a ls2 or ls3. Those pullies are smaller and will give you more clearance. You can also just make your own radiator hoses by using some metal pipe and fit some 90 degree radiator hose ends. Those 80lb injectors are pretty small for e85. What kind of fuels pump(s) are you using? I may have missed that.

The 80's have been proven to do 700rwhp+ on e85. He has twin 255's in the tank.

I'd get it ceramic coated that would help if you can't fit a blanket

A little update. Got the wiring harness in and all hooked up for the most part. Fuel pumps are wired up as well. Need to source the parts for the ABS delete, install the gauges, put the interior back together, get fluids, and run vacuum lines. Should be fired up this weekend if all goes as planned.

I do have a question about the vacuum lines. I bought a vacuum block and am wondering what is the best place to source the vacuum for the block? Best place at the manifold? Which port?

If I can ask, what radiator...part # is that? I'm mounting mine vertical over winter. Just trying to get some good ideas. Build is coming along nicely.

Which look should I go for?

TT2's are played out I know. Black rims on red are especially played out. It's what I have to work with though. These rims came as a second set with the car.

Berger panel is black as well. Z28 emblems will be coming off the fenders too.

Will hopefully have a start up video this weekend.

I'd go with the full polished, black or gunmetal wheels are really being played out these days. It seems like all new cars & trucks could now be ordered with black/gunmetal wheels from the dealership. Don't get me wrong, I still like black wheels, but it's getting to be way too common on the streets, somebody at my work just bought a brand new black 4dr.Honda Accord with factory gunmetal rims.

Yeah I hear ya. Well the center is just plasti-dipped for now. Was thinking of getting them powder coated (have a buddy that does it) in the spring but not sure.

Well either way, you can't go wrong with those TTII's, I guess I was speaking more of black cars having black wheels.

Not at this time man. After the amount of work my buddy put in them to get them looking good I plan on keeping them for a bit.
