Default Catch can idea with ls9 cam?

Hello all,
So I was wanting to know what do people do with the old cam sensor hole when they use the ls2 style in the front cover. I was just going to plug it, then thought to use it for the catch can.

Has anyone done this or will it even work that way?

You mean as an oil return for a catch can? Its possible, ive seen some high mounted turbos use that hole as an oil return.

That or even the vent.

I deleted my AC and plan on mounting the catch can on the firewall. Most setups I see vent from the valve covers, but can you use the sensor hole also?
