I tried nearly every stock manifold known to man on my build. I came to the conclusion that building my own log manifolds would be best. I would recommend something similar to what I have done. I have plenty of clearence, keeping a/c and power steering, only minor modifications, such as removing stock coolant overflow tank and installing aftermarket tank / modify pass fender wheel a bit did the trick.
Keep in mind these are plenty strong and will flow great being 2" primary's. 16 gauge mild steel with 1/2' flange. The drivers side I did end up making a partial tubular header (back 2 exhaust ports merged into the log). Anyways here's a link to some info..

Yea sorry. Didnt mean to say stainless. Theyre Stamped steel. Made like this. 0.8mm thick 309 stamped steel inside a 1.8mm thick 409 stamped steel wall with a 3mm airgap between the two walls. The 309 stuff is what went all to hell and killed my turbine.
I thought about doing a bed mount set up. But i wanted to keep the use of my bed. I wanted to haul my race bike in the back and watch the look on some guys face in his vette when i dusted him hauling one of my other toys. Lol
And i thought the fender exit dp was gonna be louder than it is. When i made it, i left enough room to put a dynomax bullet or something in there if i needed it.

A trip to the junk yard today and the truck is manual steering now. Or as my dad likes to call it, armstrong steering. Getting the PS pump out of the way removes some clutter from the drivers side.
I should have grabbed the steering shaft out of the doner vehicle too. I am going to make a new steering shaft from the pieces of 2 steering shafts to clear the manifold. That with the help of some smaller joints, the shaft will fit fine.
Some parts arrived this week, all the tube and v-bands, still waiting on the turbo. Don't worry, I'll post the obligatory turbo sitting next to a beer can photo when it gets here.

Back at it. The turbo arrived this week. I had never picked one of these up. That is going to need a serious bracket to hold it in place.
I made my new steering shaft from some dodge and chevy parts and it still doesn't clear the manifold. I should have a solution by the end of the weekend.
Looking forward to getting started with the fun part.

It's been a while, went on vacation a couple of times... one of the times I went right through Superior Wisconsin which I see is where T76s10 is from. Speaking of T76s10, he is the one that originally told me the flipped forward truck manifold won't work on the driver side and he was right. I ended up using a swap header on the drivers side, put a V-Band at the end of it and build the crossover pipe around the bottom of the transmission. Plenty of room. The crossover is just tacked for the time being, when I get everything done I'll finish all the welds.
Pictures of the crossover alone and installed where it will come up on the passenger side.

This is the tool that I used to cut the tubing. It works slick, makes a square cut every time. Just use a little WD40 on the tubing and it cuts like butter.
My friend Monte sent me this thing when I told him I was building a turbo kit. Even though he works for the city, he knows a thing or two about going fast. He got it at Harbor Freight. I can tell you that it works and it probably isn't going to break the bank coming from HF.

Passenger side manifold is done. It's a custom truck manifold log style hybrid.
It is made from 3 pieces, the truck manifold and the tube that you can see. The bottom is a flat piece of steel. I needed the bottom to be flat to clear the upper control arm.
Next is the merge

Thanks hellbents and bigblock, its been awhile since I got to work on the truck. I am in the process of moving from TX to TN and I put the truck back together NA for the time being. It has to be able to be driven (on and off the hauler) to get it here.
My garage won't be ready until June or July so I'll get back on it then...

It has been about a year since I have worked on the truck.
Excuses:
Moved from TX to TN
Started new job
build new house
Finally got the garage organized, found all my parts and the project is now further than where I left it last year. Looking to finish up the hot side in the next few weeks.
