Hi guys i have came across some cadillac lsa pistons and rods will i be able to bore out an iron 5.3 and se these and how different is the lsa cam compared to the ls9 cam thanks

You could use the rods but no way I would bore a 5.3l to 4.065.

bore the **** out of that 5.3 block...I have been looking for a junk 5.3 block to bore out to its max, basically brake through the water passage just to see how far the 5.3 can be bored, I have mic'ed the 5.3 bore verse the cylinder wall and the walls will be damn near the same thickness as the 6.0 with the the 5.3 being bored to the 4.00 bore.
A 6.0 can safely be bored .030 with a power adder and .060 N/A, anybody know the cylinder wall thickness at these bore sizes?
OP get a 6.0 block to do your piston swap

the rods will be good up to around 700-800 flywheel with good rod bolts
