95 Z28 TT 5.3 true street. build
Well I just got back from my deployment. Time to build another car! Some of you may know my 99 Z28. Well I pulled it in the garage today and tore it apart to sell off the turbo kit and the stock motor out of the car to a friend. After a lot of thinking, I decided to just put the build together into my 95 z since it has a VERY nice NRC 8.50 cert's cage. Got the 99 tore down today and pulled out of the garage and the 95 in. Starting work on it tonight/tomorrow. Wiring the whole car from scratch.

Got the 5.3 yesterday and got it tore down for upgrades. Should be together this evening and then we're going put in the k-member. Ordering a standalone harness today and either a speedwire or racewire solutions kit depending on wait time. Goal is to have the car making passes on the 18th for a track rental.

Well, car wont be done by the 18th, I ended up sucking it up and placed my order to Racewire Solutions to get an harness for the car made. There just isnt enough time to get it here and installed. On a better note, the block is all cleaned up, cam is in, along with the ARP rod bolts.
I want to run it on E85, will have to buy it by the drum since the closest station is 45 mins away and its not worth it to travel that far for a tank.

just some pictures from throughout the day. I'm going to paint the car flat black, so the parts I painted obviously dont match the stock red. The color is VHT high temp "Burnt Orange Metallic" it looks pretty awesome in the sunlight!
Trans that was in the 99, going into this one.
Some Misc/Bling side project of mine. Building a forged motor for my roomate's 99 FRC, waiting on head gaskets so we can get pushrod lengths and order them, thats all thats left to finish it up.

Yep, despite the wiring harness setback, I'm still going to push to get the rest of the car done in time. If I can get the harness before the 18th might pull an all nighter and wire it up. Really wanted to run the car at a local track event thats going on that day.
