Default F/I air filters?

What kind of air filter is everyone running on their turbo car? Which one is best? I need a very short one to fit between my battery and turbo. Please post pics...

K&N's flow a lot of air, but at the sacrifice of letting a lot of dirt through. I now use Airaid filters because they have a synthetic layer on the inside that keeps the oil from wicking through. They also filter much better than a k&n. Try to fit the biggest possible filter you can. Also, pleat depth has a lot to do with filter flow characteristics, so two identical size filters may not flow the same.

I run an AFE filter now, they work great on turbo applications. My K&N started to collapse in on itself. The AFE on my car now has an inverted top and the internals are much more ridgid for a turbo application.

How low profile can filters get? I think I'll have maybe 4" between the turbos and my driveshaft. I don't really want to, but I'll just run a screen if I have to.

This is what I have now but I am told the chrome piece in the center will come out and get sucked into my turbo.
