Default IAT placement

So opposed to putting the IAT sensor in the charge pipe like all other kits, is it ok and will it work fine if I put it on the back side of my elbow from Aaron? dumIf ya will the computer still read it correctly or will I get funky readings?

I would think as long as you are getting an accurate reading of the air temp going in it would be fine.

No, Vic jr with a Sheet metal 6061 elbow. The back of the elbow has 3 untapped boss's on the back side so I was gonna tap one of um and screw the IAT on the back side of elbow.

Not to hijack, but since this came up... Would it work to put the IAT sensor in the stock MAP sensor location on an LS3 intake? Or would it not really get a good reading?

Ya that's exactly what I'm thinking, look super clean hidden behind the elbow and won't have a wire jetting across to the charge pipe.
