You just need to find parts hookups It's easy to build a stock crank, forged piston/rod engine for $1500-$2000. Only do the machine work that NEEDS to be done. Gaskets and crap can add up if you need tham all though.

Car is still doing great. Went a best of 5.99 with the On3's. Swapped to the BWS366's and have gone a best of 5.63 with the same set up. Hoping to get some 5.40's this year.

I have been able to buy 6.0's pretty cheap-they set the cars on fire in the ghetto, and the intakes are all melted, but the motor is fine
rings and bearings are so cheap, I always take them apart, clean them up,
put them together-still cheap, and beats pulling it for an issue I could have fixed
if the snow ever melts, and the mud dries up, I might actually get to test drive my car, lol

So you actually maxed out the on3 70mm? I was curious how the s366's would do. Flow maps dont seem to be as high as the old maps for 70mm compressors, so wondering if the larger turbine helped? Hows the spool difference?

I'm looking to do budget twins on my 347. Was hoping to get some advice on on3 sizes or any others you guys have run. I'm also a street/weekend warrior with a t56 magnum..
That's a big improvement switching to the BW's.!

My car weighs in at 3830lbs exactly the way I try and race it. Sometimes a little more because it might have a car seat, a pool cue, some soda cans, laptop.

Man, I have been reading this thread for the last 2-3 days on and off and there is some great info and help in here!

I was doing some searching and planning on doing a 5.3 with ported/milled 243's, turbo grind cam, Holley Hi-Ram and possibly twin On3 61's with a 4L80e and the 12 bolt with 3.42's in my dad's old '69 Chevy pickup that I just recently bought back after he sold it 15 years ago!

Any updates on the car?

I know this is an OLD thread, but this has been one of the best reads I've had in a while!
I just built an 04 GTO with a Gen IV 4.8, custom cam by stock48, twin ON3 GT35s (6164). Still working on the tune, but hoping for 150mph in the 1/4 @ 4240lbs race weight! Car is on E85 with a Jakes 4L80e and 28" tire.
Thanks for all the info!
