Default Need help selecting a turbo set up.

So, this is for the truck in my sig, it's not a for sure thing but if I ever decide to turbocharge, I'm looking at going with one big single turbo. Problem is I just don't know jack **** about the turbo world.

So this leads me to question, what is the ideal turbocharger I need to go with along with a good air to air intercooler? What's the best method for getting it to spool quickly? What size headers do I need? Etc.

I'd be going front mount as well and keeping all the accessories (A/C, P/S, etc.)

Truck has a 417 inch LS3 with WCCH LSA 78cc combustion chamber cylinder heads, 236/245 .617/612 114 cam, LS9 head gaskets, and Eagle/Diamond internals. 9.5:1 Cr. ARP studs throughout it, so it's ready to rock.

Trans is a 4L80E with a Carl Rossler transbrake, Circle-D 3,600 stall, and MSD 8733 2-step/LC

Would like to run up to 25 psi on race gas. Fuel system is twin in-tank 300's with Aeromotive A1000 boost referenced regulator and ID1000 injectors Also running 100% meth on top of all that crap through twin 625ml nozzles.

Again just looking for ideas to bounce around here. Thanks guys.

Your goal shouldn't be a certain amount of boost you want to run. It should be a horse power or et goal. Id say get a gt91 with a 1.10 ar. A bell, garret or thread stone ic that's 4 inches thick. An easy truck manifold setup would be great. No real need for headers unless its a show truck.

I'd like to make 1100+ rwhp, it's not a show truck but I'd like to spool it as fast as possible therefore I made the statement about headers (I was thinking a two into 1 collector setup.

Doesn't that mean I need twin scavenge pumps and a gangle of other crap?

I'm not sure I'm up for that, plus I love the sound of a big turbo as opposed to two smaller ones.
