quick question about turbo mock up and K member.
Planning on doing a custom twin turbo setup in the spring and have a couple of questions about mocking up the tubing. the car will have an AES 390 which is based off a 6.0 L LQ9. right now my car has the original LS1 in it. so my question is...
could I use my LS1 to mock up the tubing for the LQ9? are they the same physical size?
my other question is that I will be using a UMI k member. does this K member move the engine out of its stock position?
I will have my parts for my turbo set up before my engine will be here and would like to have everything fabbed up and ready to go so I could just swap motors and throw the kit on. instead of waiting on the engine to get here and then start fabbing.

yes, the motors are the same physical size, just a bigger bore.
if you were to put the 5.3 and 6.0 side by side you couldnt tell a difference. without taking off the heads or looking at the back of the block.
so mock away!

Well it'll b a twin setup so the hot side is basically gonna be a straight tube with a bend at the end coming off the manifold to the turbo. And the downpipes will face eachother towards the middle. Ill wait to far them around the engine. I just wanna get turbo placement mocked up along with the cold side and radiator setup. I have to do this at a buddies house so i dont want it to sit there for 3 months..figured we could knock this part out in a couple weekends and i can do the rest at home.
