Default FAST 78mm Throttle Body Question

I just picked up an almost new FAST 78mm throttle body. I know a stock ported throttle body will work just as well but I got a hell of a deal on this and couldn't pass up the chance to get it.

I noticed the FAST78 doesn't have a hole drilled in the throttle blade like a stock throttle body, but I did notice if I hold it up to a light I can see about +/-.010" clearance all the way around the throttle blade when closed. Is this how they can get away without a hole in the blade?

Also, is it normal for the throttle blade to open a little more than wide open? It looks like it goes a few degrees beyond, but it may be my imagination.

Is there anything else I should know about this throttle body compared to a stock one?

Thanks for any help.

Any thoughts guys? I imagine a few of you must have installed or seen a FAST78 throttle body in the past.

Stock throttle body is the best for that.
