I actually talked to mike at TEA and he said he has a customer with a ls6 with his YSI vette and he's in the 150s in the 1/4. I know mightymouse used it on his old car. It's proven to handle some high power. It's prolly one of the better intakes made IMHO.

The only seal an LS6 intake can blow out is the intake gaskets, which are pretty much the same for any intake you use. (My edelbrock Pro-flo uses factory GM intake gaskets) So you should not worry blowing them out. People have made well over 1000rwhp on stock intake gaskets. Good luck!

Let it eat and don't worry about it, this isn't Fast and the Furious.

"Man, you're lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake dude"!!!!

YSi + 21 psi with mine back in 2006. Harlan I think had an LS6 intake on his car back in 2003/4 when he went 8.29@16xmph.

This is all fantastic news. I'm planning on using a TPIS 90mm Ls6 in my build, but I don't have plans of spinning much more than 15lbs. out of a PT88.

I have run 28lbs on an LS6 for quite a while when I was using an F1R on my 346 back up motor NP! GL! Oh and I talked to TPIS about the mod they do to them and while I never pulled the trigger on one especially for the money, they said it would hold as much as the stock one would. I just don't think there would be that much gain if any at all on an FI application to justify trying it etc...

I was around 18-20 lbs and noticed me car started idling funny-so I took off my TB and saw that it had cracked around the entire section that was welded.

It looks like the newer pieces have some sort bracing to them?
