Default 5.3 twin turbo

Im building an 89 s10 so I am tight on space. My plans were to use truck manifolds flipped and run a single billet precision. After seting the motor and mocking motor mounts it seems everything is in the way to do this...So i flipped the drivers manifold upside down and did the same on the passenger and discovered a perfect mount for twins... So thats the back ground

My motor is a stock 5.3. I put head studs on it and and ls6 cam with patriot gold springs. New rings re-gapped. Meling oil pump. I am running a truck intake with ls1 fbody injectors 80lbs. It will be SD with hp tuners software.

Now will these turbos be good for me or is there a better set.

They are the turbonetics hurricane Christina 72mm. I looked through thousands of threads and figured i would ask for an opinion based on my ap. If there is a better set please tell me, i only want to buy once. Im on a budget and cant afford to buy 5 sets for the heck of it.

I've seen tons of threads and hate to beat a dead horse...but I'm confused.

Also is two 45mm wastegates good. With a tial 50mm BOV

It would be both. I liked to be in the 600hp range. More would be fine. I'm not sure what the tap out is on the intake and cam combo.

1st gens are light as ***, again, how much power do u want? You don't have steering column clearance issues? I know you have a lot more room in the engine bay than me. Good luck bro.

I had to change to different universals. I'll try to get some pics up. Tight though. Lets say I want to shoot for 650hp. Maybe more later as I can beef the motor up.

You definitely don't need 72's for that power. 66's will make well over 1000.

I would get a set of On3 61 mm's. They would work absolutely awesome in your s10. I run a stock bottom end 5.3 with twin ON3 70's in my 3870lb Chevelle and they work great. Ive run over 25lbs of boost with them on E 85. I would think the 61's would give you more than enough power with your weight and would be sick on the street, ie, instant spool. These are$324 shipped to your door. Can't beat that.

If you go to youtube and type in "Sinister 5.3 twin turbos" You will see tons of videos. Many of them current.

I agree, 72mm's are a little overkill. You can even run 62's and make 1000hp and will spool faster.

Yup, even 62's would make over 1000.
