Default TT + 390ci..........which turbos....Modular Turbo CBR F2....

So, I've decided to go Modular Turbo TT kit.....after talking to Robert last night. So......which turbos would be good to go with to make 1,000 RWHP or more (1100-1200 would be nice too)........full time E85 and the Modular turbo A2W intercooler they use and through my 4L80E. Mini-tub and any suspension mods it needs to help it hook. Full weight, full interior.

OR......which mismatched turbos, two different sizes to go with.......

STREET CAR ONLY......STREET CAR ONLY.......roll races ONLY. 40-170mph.

5-6 months is when they can take the car.....I'll be driving it N/A till then with the 390ci........

.

A twin T76 will be nice. Kinda against the grain and bigger than what most people do. I'm doing a twin T76 build. With a 408, it should be absolutely perfect. Ive done a lot of research on this turbo with compressor maps, engine specs, RPM ranges. It should be a great combo. Very little to 0 lag, 7600 RPM shift redline, turbo is on the verge of surging right after my shiftpoint. Very efficient. Should come alive at around 2200 RPM. Good luck with your build

I was thinking twin 72's to make over 1,000 RWHP......

NRE has a 402ci LSX iron block TT....uses 2 72MM TURBONETICS TANG. turbos.....makes 1600 FWHP at 14psi on race gas.

CRAZY......

6266's would easily reach your goal and spool very quickly. As for twin 76's, I wouldn't personally use them unless you are aiming for something near 2000hp.

Build still has couple of work to be done to it to be fully complete
Well....twin 76's will fit the kit. I guess I could just turn it up as needed, or till the heads lift.........

Quick spool is what I want. I'll use whatever will do the trick and not be maxing out the turbos.....

Cool.....

Are the turbos going to suck air right from the engine compartment...or will you have them sucking air from somewhere else when you're done.

This, the 6266 is perfect for the power you want, if you are thinking you might want more in the future, go ahead and order the 6766 now and don't look back.

I agree^ 76s might be too big for what you are looking for.

I personally wouldn't want super fast spool. 1000 rwhp would be scary at 1000 rpm. Full spool at low rpm isn't necessarly a good thing. You will blow the tires off all the time...unintentionally....

Also lets say you full spool at 1000rpm. how many rpm can you go until you start surging the compressor? 5000rpm? These motors love higher rpm ranges.

6266's aren't going to spool at 1000rpm. Even if they did, a boost controller would easily take care of any traction issues and on a build of this level, it's pretty much a necessity. 76's with a proper sized turbine to actually use the compressors, not p or q trims, will take a LONG time to spool on a street 390. They're completely unnecessary for less than 1600 rear wheel.
